About

Welcome,

The Office of the Vice President, Students is responsible for shaping the student experience and learning environment for UBC undergraduate and graduate students.

We actively support the University’s Place and Promise strategic commitments through a focus on improving the student experience across all of them. Two of the Student Learning commitment goals are fundamental to this work: expanding enriched educational opportunities, (including research, small class experiences, international learning, community service learning, and co-op/ practicum/internship opportunities) and supporting student well-being, personal development, and positive affiliation with UBC through outstanding campus life programs and service excellence.

These responsibilities are met through portfolio program and service units which, collectively and in partnership with other University units, provide leadership in supporting and enriching the UBC student experience.

Our units are:
Athletics and Recreation
Student Development & Services
Student Housing and Hospitality Services

We liaise on behalf of the University with student governments and select groups that represent and support students:

Alma Mater Society, UBC Vancouver
Graduate Student Society, UBC Vancouver
Student Union, UBC Okanagan
University Chaplaincy
Sororities and Fraternities
