I hope you are doing well.
The Vice President, Students Office (VPSO) has been hosting listening sessions with UBC students since 2019. Listening sessions provide an opportunity for open dialogue, and a forum for students to share their experiences with me. Feedback from students directly informs our strategic plans and our ongoing efforts to support the student experience at UBC.
This month, the VPSO and the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (G+PS) are co-hosting a Listening Session specifically for graduate students, to better understand the graduate student experience at UBC. Michael Hunt, Dean pro tem of G+PS will join me in co-hosting this listening session.
Why attend a listening session? One of our shared priorities is to work with and for students to create a meaningful, enjoyable, and successful university experience for all to access. To do this, it’s important to us to hear directly from you on what’s working, and what isn’t. Listening sessions provide a space for you to share your feedback and ideas, and to ask any questions you have for us, over lunch.
Seating is limited so please RSVP today to secure your spot.
Thursday, September 26 from 12:00–1:30 pm
Lunch provided in Thea’s Lounge – Rm. 310, Thea Koerner House
We look forward to seeing you at the listening session.
